Persol revealed their second of three installments of PERSOL MAGNIFICENT OBSESSIONS: 30 Stories of Craftsmanship in Film in honor of the obsessive dedication behind some of cinema’s most iconic on-screen moments. The brand is no stranger to their own labor intensive process – which, in fact, requires 30 manual steps – when it comes to making the perfect pair of Persol frames.
To recognize the long, tedious hours spent creating movie magic, they decided to make an exhibit, curated by Michael Connor, at the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria, Queens from June 14 – August 19. The exhibit pays homage to the craft, perseverance and passion in cinema that parallels Persol’s own painstaking creation process. Honorees, VIP guests and a slew of celebs – including Dianna Agron, Zoe Saldana, Abbie Cornish, Terry Richardson, Jaime King, Rebecca Minkoff, John Turturro, Sandy Powell, and more – enjoyed the premier opening by touring the exhibition, followed by an evening of cocktails and dancing.
