S/S ’19 Pantone Fashion Color Report: Empowering Hues

While the only colors we’ll be seeing in the upcoming weeks are red and green, the Pantone Color Institute has released its official report on all colors featured in the New York and London spring/summer 2019 Fashion Weeks. Looking ahead to the warmer months, these shades reflect empowerment and confidence, while providing an uplifting effect that will definitely put a spring in our step come spring and summer. Take a look at the hottest hues you’ll be seeing in the upcoming months, below.

New York: An array of lively hues offer up high-energy and intensity with hints of elegance that make these shades show-stoppers. Energetic Fiesta and striking Turmeric pack a punch of color, while deep Jester Red and soft Living Coral exude elegance and provide depth. You can feel the passion and excitement in the sunshine-inspired Aspen Gold and golden-yellow Mango Mojito that animate the palette. Meanwhile, playful Pink Peacock satisfies a dramatic craving, while delicate Sweet Lilac shows off a gentle combination of pink and lavender. Princess Blue, a royal blue presents a majestic and commanding effect without overpowering. Taking a page out of nature’s book, deep green Terrarium Moss and zesty yellow-green Pepper Stem pair seamlessly with Toffee for an earthy vibe.

Seasonal Essentials: Both fashion weeks produced the upcoming seasons go-to hues that serve as a structure to everyday fashion. Subtle off-white Sweet Corn is a dreamy temptation, while tan Soybean showcases a natural appeal for multipurpose use. A deep midnight sky-inspired blue, Eclipse, provokes a thoughtful and mysterious effect. Meanwhile, a strong and timeless Brown Granite adds in distinct sophistication.

London: The bold reds and oranges, Fiesta, Jester Red, Turmeric, Living Coral, featured in New York were also strutted on the London runway. Additionally, the down-to-earth tones of Terrarium Moss, Pepper Stem and Toffee showed up in London alongside the bold Princess Blue. Two new complementary shades to Pink Peacock and Mango Mojito were seen in London for a gentle touch of color. These shades include, sweet and cheerful Lemon Verbena and the blushing romantic Pressed Rose.
