While it seems we’ve just gotten to the heart of fall in the real world, it’s already time to be thinking about spring in the fashion world.
Last week we teamed up with Stylesight, an online trend forecasting company, for a fabulous and informative event showcasing some of the latest eyewear styles that will be available this coming spring/summer.
Stylesight had their seasoned SVP Trend Analysis, Sharon Graubard, present the trends influencing eyewear and sunwear for Spring/Summer 2011.
Here’s the inside scoop on Stylesight’s take on what’s to come:
Analogue: Geek chic goes low-tech with straightforward minimal styles, thick framed spectacles or delicate wire-rims, soft neutrals and wood or leather accents.
Rebels: Tough and wild gets sophisticated and sleek. Dominating details include hard and clean lines, streamlined cat-eyes and shields, dark metalics, spikes, studs, chains and mirrored lenses.
Manifesto: Studio 54 luxe and 80s soap opera excess is revisited in big circles and rounded squares. Gradient lenses, glam cat-eyes, bold brights and gold and baroque accents vamp up the drama.
Soul: Think 70s R&B meets African craft with oversized rounds, plastic aviators, earthy neutrals paired with bright accents and tinted lenses in statement colors.
