It’s never too early to start thinking about next season’s fashion trends—including those for eyewear. To stay on top of the game, we partnered with Stylesight, an online trend forecasting company, to put on an exclusive trend preview featuring upcoming eyewear styles for spring/summer 2013.
In Stylesight’s fabulous office space in the heart of New York City’s fashion district, magazine editors, bloggers and others from the industry gathered for a presentation that outlined four spring/summer 2013 eyewear trends—Terra Moderna, Paper + Ash, Fashletes and Crystal Lab. We provided all of the fun, trendy frames so attendees could snap photos, try on frames and simply observe.
We don’t want you to miss out on these hot trends, so here’s a sneak peek for what to expect when the warmer months hit.
Terra Moderna: Specs and shades in this trend have a retro, handcrafted feel, with artisanal touches like leather piecing, weaving, perforations and topstitching. Be on the lookout for materials such as luxe plastics, straw, burnished brass and wood, which all add to a rustic appearance.
