The red carpet was dripping with glitz and glam as the ladies and gents from the small screen posed their way to their seats at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
While most of the ladies braved the glaring sun sans sunglasses for photogs, Christine Baranski and Susan Sarandon stood out from the rest in their sexy black shades.
For men, wayfarers overwhelmingly dominated the scene. Stars like Al Pacino, Alan Cumming, Kevin Bacon and Ricky Gervais all sported variations of this style, some with dramatic blacked out lenses and others with sleek gradient lenses.
Aviators also made an appearance – Emmy winner Ryan Murphy, director of the TV hit Glee, donned a pair with blue-green mirrored lenses to match his suit jacket.
Retro optical glasses had their moment on Kevin Bacon, Rich Sommer from Mad Men, Emmy winner for Outstanding Drama Series, and Kevin McHale from Glee.
Even cutie pie Rico Rodriguez from Modern Family, Emmy winner for Outstanding Comedy Series, brought his specs out for the big night.
If you were one of Tinseltown’s finest what eyewear would you be strutting down the red carpet? We would definitely be rocking the cat-eye (depending on the outfit of course)!
